The ultralight Platatac Silks Alpha Jacket is an upgraded thermal version of the standard LW Silks using windproof Multicam Quantum shell fabric with the addition of high tech Polartec Alpha active insulation lining. Ultralight, stuffable & incredibly versatile thermal regulation.

Designed with the fight light philosophy in mind, and designed to be thrown on when stopped after you’ve been hard on the move, it’s lightweight and small enough to stash in your gear in case some unexpected protection from the weather is required when a hard-shell isn’t available.

Polartec Alpha was invented for U.S. Special Forces, they required a superior insulation system for extreme temperature variations & the start-stop conditions of combat.
