OT Defense Long NUB MOD for Safariland ALS Holsters

NOTE: This model is ONLY for ALS Level 1 retention 6000 and 7000 series holsters. Also fits 6000 series RDS holsters such as the 6354DO and 6390RDS.
Starting 2024, Safariland® lengthened the lever on the 6000 series RDS and RDSO holsters for Glocks and other common pistols. If your lever looks like the image below, this is what you need.
Your ALS lever must be the tall height version as shown in the photo. If you have a shorter ALS lever it will not be compatible.

This model will NOT fit 1911/2011/Staccato and other large thumb safety pistol holsters. It will NOT fit SLS or Level 3 Retention models.

Level 1 and Level 3 use.

This is NOT ‘longer’ or bigger then other Nubs, it simply fits the longer lever design from Safariland!

Washer included for level 3 users, screw has threadlocker pre-applied.

Due to the nature of Safariland holsters being handmade, some users will need to file behind the lever to ensure proper movement with no resistance.

Faster: The reversed angle matches up with the pad of your thumb sooner than the factory button. You will find the gun in your hand just by grabbing it. Weak hand drawing becomes faster as well.

More Reliable: The wider release button means you have even less potential to miss the activation, especially on thigh rigs or mounting systems that push the holster away from your body. If you have ever found yourself pulling up on the gun before hitting the release you’ve noticed that gun is difficult to almost impossible to get out. The additional leverage of the Nub Mod fixes this stress induced or poor training problem if it ever arises due to the increased surface area for the thumb to engage.

Simple Install: Simply press the larger nub piece over the factory button from the inside of the holster. Align the smaller narrow piece with the top of the larger one. Insert screw and tighten with supplied allen wrench. You may add Loc Tite or finger nail polish to the threads if desired.
