Yes, this is a tribute to the famous Simpson’s “Hellfish”, Abe Simpson’s unit in WW2. The design has been modified from its original form. OPT’s owner is a huge fan of old Simpson’s episodes, and used this icon as his unit insignia when standing up a newly formed MAR-OPS SFODA.
