  The Emdom/MM AK/M4 Double Magazine Pouch is a design collaboration between Emdom USA and MM from www.militarymorons.com. The AK/M4 magazine pouch is designed to accommodate up to two AK-47 (7.62mm) or AK-74 (5.45mm) 30 round standard capacity magazines. It will accommodate two US PALM AK30 magazines as well, but because the AK30s are thicker, the fit is tight. The AK/M4 magazine pouch will also hold up to two standard capacity 30 round AR-15/M4/M16 magazines (w/ or w/o Magpul Ranger Plates, Magpul 5.56 NATO Magpuls, etc.) of various types (USGI, HK, Magpul, Troy, TangoDown, Lancer, etc.) by shortening the adjustable/detachable cover flap. The body features of AK magazines lead to unique challenges in the design of this pouch. To overcome these challenges the pouch features an innovative trapezoid shape to accommodate the curvature of AK magazines allowing either left or right orientation. The apex of the curved AK magazine is kept at the center of the pouch keeping the magazines straight and upright. The pouch is designed for AK magazines to sit ‘bullets up’ because if kept ‘rounds down’ the magazine release tang can get snagged when extracting a magazine. Also, due to the protruding base plate it is recommended the second magazine be inserted in front of/to the outside of the first, thus preventing the first/inner magazine from being pulled out by the base plate of the second/outer magazine.
