   UW Gear Minuteman 4The UW Gear Minuteman 4 is a product improvement based on actual field use. It is designed to give the armed citizen a platform for 4 x 30-rd mags, plus some additional gear. It is principally designed for rural operations, where quick access to ready mags is the priority, but additional protection is required. The mag pouches themselves utilizes a top flap with our unique tuck tab closure system. This gives you additional protection against the elements, especially when proned out a lot, which is a big part of UW Gear's SOP. The tuck tab is quick and silent to manipulate, even at night and with gloves on. But is still very secure. Nothing to break, or clog with mud/sand/snow/etc. This is the heart of our system. The base consists of the 4 mag pouches and MOLLE slots on the side for small pouches, such as a BOK, FRS radio, or any pouch utilizing two columns of MOLLE. The shoulder harness is designed to be comfortable and low profile, and work with a belt kit and/or rucksack. It will also work well with a slick plate carrier thrown in the mix. UW Gear is now using mil-spec binding tape to build all their rigs. This adds a considerable amount of strength to the overall design. The top flaps are now reinforced with 2" webbing, giving you twice the amount protection and strength. The mag is now totally encased in 2" webbing, as well as Cordura. The side slots have been changed to 2-columns, which keeps the pouches small, and fits in better with a rucksack. From UW Gear: The Minuteman 4 is the result of continuous process improvement. As we train, we continually refine our gear, our weapons, and our tactics. This rig is the best solution we have found, for having ready mags available, but still protected for operating in a harsh, woodland environment. Open-top, bungee pull tab pouches are optimized for urban assault ops, where heavy contact with dirt, sand, etc.is normally not much of an issue. It has been carried forward to the square range where they work great for stand up, speed reloads. Our pouches are designed to work in a harsher environment, reloading proned out behind cover. ATS MCH Hydration Carrier The ATS MCH Hydration Carrier is designed specifically to integrate with the ATS H-Harness found on ATS modular chest harnesses. To cut weight dramatically, the MCHHC is constructed of 500 denier DuPont Cordura nylon. The unit weighs just eight ounces. This narrow footprint carrier will hold up to a three liter (103 ounce) reservoir. The MCHHC measures just seven inches wide by seventeen inches long. A Velcro and snap closed hanger attaches the MCHHC to the H-harness, while channels for the waist strap at the lower end of the carrier allow for height adjustment. A grommet in the bottom allows for drainage. ATS incorporates a daisy chain of elastic cord on the face of the carrier, to secure layered items of clothing and the like. The length of the cord is adjustable by an ITW/Nexus Toaster Cord Lock. Like all ATS gear, it's covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects in, materials and workmanship. Both items are made in the USA This was a rig built for patrolling use. It has never been to the field, and is essentially brand new, just stored in a case for an extensive time. |
