At this point you have to be all about touch-ups and use your better judgement. If you have a big space of the sand color hit it with the branch and some Medium Brown and some OD. I had only 2 or 3 spots that needed it on this project. You are going for a look here that has no linear definition, using the principles of camouflage: shape, shadow, silhouette, surface, spacing, color, movement, siting, mission, dispersion, and terrain patterns. A problem many of us face when painting weapons is we have the paradigm that they have to have these really crisp outlines and look like the sniper rifles we see pictures of. Most of these patterns look cool, but are lacking when it comes to versatility on the battelfield. I want something that blends, not that has crisp outlines only useful in one place. |
