   The Emdom/MM Field Mat is a design collaboration between Emdom USA and MM from www.militarymorons.com. It is a simple and convenient fold up/roll up cleaning kit pouch with an integrated mat. The Field Mat allows you to have your cleaning supplies and spare parts readily accessible with a clean surface to work on. On the top are two zippered pouches with internal organizational pockets can be utilized as storage for cleaning patches, bore brushes, small solvent/oil bottles, spare parts (pins, springs, bolt, bolt carrier, etc.), bore snakes, tooth brushes, etc. On the bottom is a large pocket sewn in half with a full length zippered opening for additional storage. With the mat laid out, small parts like springs and pins can be secured to the loop Velcro small parts area with the included strips of one-wrap Velcro. Alternatively parts and tools can be kept in the included utility tray. If the Field Mat gets too dirty it can be thrown in the wash or scrubbed down by hand.Specs: -Approximate dimensions: 23" x 19" -Approximate weight: 11 oz. -20 x 19 mat surface. Mat: Optimally sized to not be too small or too big. The mat is large enough to lay out the parts of a dissembled AR carbine (See photo below). The Field Mat can be utilized as a shooting mat or for other general purposes but it is primarily designed as a work surface for dissembled weapons components. The edges are folded and stitched. Small parts area: In the right corner of the mat, near the right side pouch is a 6 x 4 area of loop Velcro. Included is a 14 long strip of 1 wide one-wrap Velcro which can be cut to desired lengths. Two 3 and two 4 strips is recommended. These are for securing small springs, pins, and other small parts to the loop Velcro area. The one-wrap Velro strips store on the loop Velcro patch when not in use. Utility tray: In the left corner of the mat, near the left side pouch is a one-piece 7 x 7 square of waterproof and oil resistant high visibility blue rubber-like material which is secured to the mat with Velcro. The blue color provides contrast to make lighter or darker parts more visible. The square features snap closures at each corner that snap together to create a tray for storing parts and tools. Pouches: The Field Mat has two 9 x 3 x 1 zippered pouches that can be opened out flat. Inside each pouch are multiple compartments. The left pouch has two 4 x 3 compartments and in the lid is a long 9 x 3 compartment with Velco closure. The right pouch has an identical 9 x 3 compartment in the lid and a full length compartment at the bottom. On the exterior of the left pouch is a 4 x 2 loop Velcro panel for attaching ID, morale, or name tape patches. Storage pocket: On the bottom of the mat, under the storage pouches, is an 8 x 18 pocket that is sewn in half and features a full length zippered opening. Tie down: At each of the four corners of the Field Mat are grommets allowing it to be tied down to a work surface. Two grommets are integrated into the mat and two are on nylon tabs. To roll up (see detailed photos below): One method is to fold the Field Mat in half (lengthwise) with the pouches facing outwards, then the mat is rolled around the pouches, when completely rolled up the two shock cord loops are wrapped around each end. An alternate method which has the pouches on the exterior allowing easy access is illustrated in the photos below. In between the two pouches is a 1 webbing loop for carrying or securing the Field Mat to a pack or other kit. Construction: MultiCam Field Mat is constructed of 500D Cordura.
